    To meet our Business Focus, Hazell Bros is continually monitoring and reviewing its current business as well as future opportunities.  In line with this, over a period of time, Hazell Bros has expanded its family of companies.

    Statewide Cranes

    Statewide Cranes joined the Hazell Bros Group of Companies in December 2007, expanding our Equipment Services Team and bringing extensive cranage capabilities to the Group. Based in Burnie, Statewide Cranes is actively involved in the mining, construction, heavy plant maintenance, and shutdowns industries. Services include lift and carry, rough terrain, and general lifting.

    Bells Constructions & Technologies

    Bells has a history spanning six decades in the commercial construction industry through its predecessor organisations Fletcher, Jennings and EA Watts.  In 2006, Bells became part of the Hazell Bros Family of Companies forming our Building Construction Business Unit.  Bells has been privileged to play a key role in many landmark buildings around Tasmania, which have made lasting contribution to the built environment.

    Quick Mix Concrete

    In 2006, Quick Mix Concrete (QMC) became part of the Hazell Bros Family of Companies.  QMC enabled Hazell Bros to expand our concrete operations state-wide, with batch plants in Burnie, Devonport and Shearwater.

     

    QMC has been a family business since its inception in the 1970s, founded by Michael Webster and Kevin Casey who built this privately owned business that is an industry leader on the North West Coast.

    Qual Tech Testing Services

    In 2006, Qual Tech Testing Services became part of the Hazell Bros Family of Companies, expanding on our existing testing service capabilities.  Qual Tech undertakes all in house testing on quarry and concrete products, in addition to having a strong independent customer base.

    Derwent Valley Concrete

    In 2005, Derwent Valley Concrete (DVC) became part of the Hazell Bros Family of Companies.  DVC has a strong presence in the New Norfolk region, providing a quality product and quick delivery times.

    Hobart Blue Metal Industries (HBMI)

    The HBMI Quarry was established in 1979 by Donald Hazell, Jack Arnold and Gordon Jennings; and is situated at Leslie Vale in the Kingborough region, south of Hobart.  Our quarry holdings are the largest in Tasmania, producing high quality aggregate and road base materials.  These products are produced to a strict specification, and are supplied to the concrete and construction industries.  The Quarry has the added capability of mobile crushers for off-site crushing.
