Hazell Bros prides itself on service to the Tasmanian community through a comprehensive sponsorships program.
Through financial and non-financial means, the Company actively supports cultural, educational, and physical wellbeing within the community.
Hazell Bros endeavours to align our sponsorships and community involvement through mutually beneficial activities.
The Company had a high level of employee participation in Relay for Life, hosted an event for the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave, raising over $6,000, recruited a 150 member team for the Heart Foundation's City to Casino, as well as a large team in the Burnie Ten.
Hazell Bros' major sponsorships include the Taste Festival entranceways, the Burnie Ten Waterfront Festivities and Walkers Category, and the Young Achievement Australia Program.
These sponsorships align with our marketing strategies, family focus, and encourage health and wellbeing goals - supporting our Working Together for One Company philosophy.
Hazell Bros is actively addressing our national trade skills shortage in several ways. Our OzHelp Foundation sponsorship assists in providing training to apprentices in life management skills as part of their normal trade training.
U-Turn is a 10 week car maintenance and body work training course established to give young people in trouble for car theft a chance to change their lives.
Hazell Bros is a proud sponsor of U-Turn, providing a three month employment scholarship to the best graduate of the course. The graduate will be employed on a casual basis within the Company.
Hazell Bros also offers site tours and DVD information sessions for all U-Turn participants to inform them about Hazell Bros and give them a greater understanding of what opportunities are available in our industry sector. For more information visit the U-Turn website.
