Bells has won an award at the Master Builders Association of Tasmania 2007 Housing and Construction Excellence Awards for a new construction.
The Award was for the West Coast Hospital Project in Queenstown, which involved building a new hospital and the demolition of Gaiety Hall. Building commenced in June 2005 and was completed in November 2006. The remote location and West Coast weather posed many challenges for the team.
Hazell Bros Engineer James Atkinson was also involved in another MBA award winning project (dwelling/units), with a company he worked with during a University work placement
