Myer building now safe

Hazell Bros has now completed works, making the Myer building safe following the fire last weekend.
Hazell Bros Managing Director Geoffrey Hazell said that the demolition of the historic building had gone well.
"We have been working closely with the fire brigade and the police department to bring the building to a safe position, so the CBD can be operational again.
"Works will slow temporarily as forensic people examine the site before further clean up can take place," he said.
Mr Hazell thanked his employees for their passion and commitment.
"Our employees have shown Hazell Bros' true colours in the scene of an emergency," he said.
