Winter Condtions Delay Works

Hazell Bros' roadworks on the Bass Highway Ulverstone Bypass Duplication have entered a planned slowdown due to the onset of wintry conditions.
Hazell Bros Group Project Manager, Simon Heazlewood, said today that some works, particularly the laying of bitumen surfacing to unsealed gravel surfaces, were not possible with cooler winter weather and wet ground conditions.
"However, over the winter period, the public will see a continuation of other works," Mr Heazlewood said.
He said work to lay bitumen on unsealed surfaces would increase again from September, when ground conditions were expected to have improved.
Mr Heazlewood reminded motorists to continue to pay attention to traffic management signage and to be aware of altering work zones.
