SRT Logistics Distribution Centre
SRT Logistics is involved in the refrigerated transport of food products, servicing the manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade sectors.
The SRT Logistics refrigerated warehouse and distribution centre is located at Breadalbane is Northern Tasmania. The facility includes 3245m2 of warehouse and refrigerated storage and a 410m2 of administration building. The facility was constructed on a green field site within the growing Airport Industrial Park.
The clean lines and high standard of finishes achieved on the project serve to reinforce SRT Logistics image and reputation as a leader in the refrigerated transport of food.
The building is based around a steel portal frame supporting the insulated wall roof panels. The required building scope of works included:
- Reinforced concrete floor slabs raised above the truck concourse.
- Structural steel portal frames
- Insulated roof and wall cladding
- Cement sheet wall cladding to some elevations
- Rapid roll roller doors to delivery docks
- Truck levellers to delivery docks
- Aluminium framed doors and windows
- Mechanical services capable of delivering the various operational temperatures within the facility
- Concrete and asphalt traffic areas with piped stormwater drainage
Hazell Bros constructed the facility within the agreed construction period despite the adverse weather conditions encountered during the construction phase.
