The largest quarry holdings in Tasmania, producing high quality aggregate and road base materials
The Hazell Bros HBMI Quarry produces in the order of 1 million tonnes per annum to the southern Tasmanian market. Aggregate and road base materials are produced to a specified quality, and are supplied to Hazell Bros and the construction industry.
In addition to fixed plant, Hazell Bros operates a fleet of mobile crushing and screening plants, with a large number of these being track-mounted. Primary, secondary and tertiary phases of crushing are all covered by these transportable units. The fleet is continuously reviewed and upgraded as required.
This capability has given Hazell Bros the flexibility to carry out high capacity production of a broad range of products to meet varying specifications and client expectations. This includes crushing in quarries for department material to meet R40 specifications or for forestry road applications.
Hazell Bros plants can be configured to suit a wide range of applications and are suitable for processing materials ranging from aggregates, blending, or crusher run material. The crushing and screening units have a production capacity from 70 to 250 tonnes per hour, depending on the product being produced and the specification required.
All products are produced to DIER R40 specifications and are also compliant to AS 2758.1 (Aggregate and Rock for Engineering Purposes - Concrete Aggregate). Specifications are controlled through our NATA accredited laboratory, situated on site at our Quarry, which undertakes a range of quality assurance testing. The dolerite source rock is compliant to DIER G6 specification.
By maintaining high standards in quality, service and production costs, along with competitive prices, Hazell Bros Group has been the selected supplier of construction materials to many landmark construction projects. Hazell Bros has a proven record of excellence in the supply of aggregate, road bases and other construction materials.
